Libraries of Life is a collaborative project of iDigBio, the US National Science Foundations National Resource for Advancing Digitization of Biodiversity Collections, and a growing number of Thematic Collections Networks focused on creating digital, web-deployed information about the nations billion biodiversity specimens to benefit science and society. Arizona State Universitys Anne Basham (ExplorMor Labs/BioKIC, Biodiversity Knowledge Integration Center) and Florida State Universitys Austin Mast (Department of Biological Science and iDigBio) led development. This project aims to develop a learning tool that will promote engagement with biodiversity specimens and their data through a set of augmented reality collection cards. You can obtain a set of cards to engage with the app by going to www.libraries-of-life.org and download the free PDF or request a full set of printed cards for use in your educational program or classroom.
